Sturminster Marshall Memorial Hall is home to a number of regular community groups and activities that bring people together throughout the month. From friendly coffee mornings and craft sessions to lively youth club events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. These regular users help keep the hall at the heart of village life, offering opportunities for connection, creativity, and support. Brownies & Guides
The Brownies and Guides have been part of the village for over 50 years.
During school term time we meet on Tuesday evenings.
We welcome new girls to our units and if you would like more information please contact either Judith or Lynne (see below) to find out more.

Football Club
Sturminster Marshall Football Club are a FA Charter Standard Club that provides organised football for boys and girls from 4 years to 18 years and a Men’s team that compete in the Dorset Premier League.
Training takes place on Churchill Close on Saturday mornings and Lytchett Sports Centre on Thursday evenings. Matches are played on Saturdays and Sundays.

Parish Council
Meeting on the first Thursday of each month, except in August. At the start of each meeting, there is the opportunity for members of the public to raise relevant comments before councillors discuss items on the agenda.

Quilting and Craft Group
The club meets once a week on Monday afternoon from 2.00-4.00
It is a friendly group of all ages and abilities. 20 of our members are local and 15 from outside. I joined as a knitter, when I came to the village, but have learned so much more from the willing experienced ones.
There are approximately 6 workshops per year and we also enjoy swapping ideas over a cup of tea and a biscuit.
Short Tennis
An easy and fun sport for the over 50’s
No experience or equipment needed.
Why not join our small and friendly group who play on
alternate Monday and Thursday mornings at 10.00am
in the Sports Hall at the Memorial Hall.
For £2 a session you will keep fit and drink unlimited coffee!
